So I know I haven't gotten my confirmation yet that says I actually can go to Japan but I've been preparing nonetheless. My Japanese skills are poor on all levels. I found this amazing website that helps you learn kanji, kanji compounds, etc. It's basically a game. You can switch it between English/Kanji/and kana so you can learn it all three ways. My goal before I leave for Japan is to learn all the Kanji and Kanji compounds in the game. That is 1005 kanji and 600 compound kanji and they give you levels so you start out with easy ones.
